| This product - ASTM designation "FPM" has fluorine containing
Hydro Carbon as major elastomer. Has better fluid resistance than any other commerical
rubber now available. Virtually unaffected by aliphatic and aromatic and halogenated hydro
carbons - acids. Excellent resistance to high temperatures and burning. Caution: the fumes
are extremely toxic. Properly designed fluorelastomer sheet products are recommended in
temperature range -65 to +400o F (-54 to +204o C) intermittent
service to +450o F (+232o C).
Recommended for cut gaskets - seals - shrouds - skirts - anywhere high temperatures -
petroleum products - hot gases are encountered. Not recommended for service in low
molecular weight ester and ethers, ketones or some amines, hot anhydrous hydrofluoric
acids. |

| EDPM - ASTM designation "EPDM" is composed of Ethylene Propylene
Terpolymer as the major elastomer in this sheet. EPDM sheet is used in presence of heat-
steam - ozone - chemicals. Shows excellent resistance to acids - Alkalis - Hydraulic
Fluids - excellent electrical insulation. Properly designed EPDM products are applicable
in temperature range -65 to +300o F (-54 to +149o C) Intermittent
service to +350o F (+176o C). Normally poor flame resistance. Used
for cut gaskets - strips - flanges - door seals and applications where resistance to wide
of range of chemicals - heat - ozone - weather. Not recommended for petroleum oil service. |
